Terms and conditions

Weather conditions:

Tours can take place in pretty much any weather – I will alter the route as appropriate to make the best of the prevailing conditions.  However, in the event that your trip cannot not go ahead due to extreme weather, I will provide a full refund. Views, however, are not guaranteed!

Suitability of tours:

Each tour is unique and I will adapt the route for your interests and ability, but you will need to have a reasonable level of fitness, and be able to walk on uneven, narrow paths.  There are some steep sections of path to negotiate.  There will be plenty of time to go at a comfortable pace and enjoy the experience, so you don’t have to be an Olympic athlete. I can make the walks as long or as short to suit your stamina. That could be as far as 2 – 4 miles over varied terrain and inclines, but I can change this for you.

Due to the number of livestock in Skye, I ask that you do not bring your dogs.

Payment:

£300 for up to 6 people.

Payment by bank transfer or with cash on the day.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund will be issued providing you inform me at least a week prior to your tour.

Safety:

Safety is my number one priority, and I will outline some important and simple to follow rules at the start of the trip. These will also cover conservation and protection of the environment and wildlife, which I take very seriously.

Medical issues:

I am trained in first aid and will carry basic medical necessities. Should you have any underlying medical conditions or be taking medication, it is important that you inform me when making your booking. At times we will be in remote places where medical attention may be many hours away.

Equipment:

Anyone turning up without suitable footwear or clothing will not be able to take part in the trip and no refund will be offered. There is an outdoor clothing shop in Portree if you need any last-minute items.
